Introduction

Kaysa spaniels: Annabelle Myers

Leading Dog Training and Behavioural Specialists

Training a dog can sometimes feel overwhelming, but our main focus is to make it enjoyable and successful for both owner and dog.

By focusing on a few key principles, training can become more effective and rewarding. Here are three major keys to success:

  • Be consistent - Establish clear routines and maintain consistency in training to help your dog understand expectations.

  • Be clear - Communicate clearly to avoid confusion and ensure your dog knows what is being asked.

  • Be patient - Training takes time, so stay patient and persistent as your dog learns at their own pace.

  • Annabelle Myers - Dog Trainer

My passion for training dogs started when i was young watching my aunt training assistance and rescue dogs, from there my interest grew.

When i was 15 i took the role of lead trainer with Proudpaws where i worked with a range of fearful, reactive and anxious dogs. It was there that i was able to develop a deep understanding of canine behaviour and effective training techniques.

Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to lead puppy-raising and training programs, work with assistance and therapy dogs, and help countless pet dogs.

This diverse experience has allowed me to tailor my training methods to meet each dog's unique needs, fostering positive outcomes and creating strong, trusting bonds between dogs and their owners.

I have a certificate in dog behaviour, psychology and training and a member of the sporting spaniel society and Yass dog show training club.

I am a founding committee member of the field spaniel club of NSW, the first field spaniel breed club in Australia, as well as a member of the Australasian conservation dog network.
